Los Angeles-based artists and producers, Black Nile blend traditional jazz sensibilities with modern production techniques to create a unique and fresh sound. With a passion for innovation and a deep respect for jazz history, they specialize in composing, arranging, and producing music that crosses genres while maintaining a distinct improvisational edge. Known for their collaborations with top musicians and their role in shaping the local jazz scene, they have earned critical acclaim for their captivating performances and boundary-pushing production work.
Black Nile will be in residence and recording at Studio 9 in June 2025.
On Saturday, June 28 they will be performing with Jazzmeia Horn at MASS MoCA.

While many of our events spring from a Jewish impulse they aim to speak to a universal audience.The company's core collective is comprised of immigrant and refugee actors-musicians based in the US. We also operate an artist retreat in North Adams, MA where we workshop our immersive works and host immigrant and refugee musicians for artist residencies.
